Wishing you all a Happy New Year.A big thank you to you all from everyone at Hilltop for all of the lovely cards and presents you gave us for Christmas. Victorian Evening.Thank you also for all of your help with our Victorian Evening and raffle and the Christmas party. The Victorian Evening raised £100 and the raffle £41. The photograph were a huge success and gave us £194 and a planned return visit. Fees.Fee slips and funding forms will be handed out with this letter. Please could you settle your fees and return the funding forms as soon as possible, thank you. Parent Reps. Please look out for your new parent reps., their names are: - Sue Mayger, Mel Prideaux, Alsa Milnes and Melanie Callas. Their photo’s will be appearing on your notice board soon. Fund Raising. If any parent feels they can help us fund raise by running the Webb Ivory catalogue it would be very much appreciated as we receive 25% of all sales. Please speak to Carole or Sue if you would like any more information. Rockets & Planets. As part of our topic this term the children will be making rockets and planets etc. You can help by letting us have any of the free C.D.’s that keep appearing in magazines that you have no use for. Also any bottles, grocery cartons, yoghurt pots etc. (preferably not large lemonade bottles and cereal boxes due to having to store them) Fruit, Vegetables & Healthy Snacks. The fruit, vegetables and healthy snack your children have brought in to share at snack time have proved a great success. This encourages the children to try a wide range of food, promotes sharing and language skills. For new children we ask that they bring in a healthy snack once or twice a week to share with the group. Happy Tree. With the help of our ‘Happy tree’ rewarding the children for good behaviour and your reinforcement of the same values at home we feel that it has helped the children be more aware of what they do and the consequences it can have. We shall continue with this throughout the year starting each season with a fresh set leaves/blossom for them to decorate the tree with. This is proving a good joint effort from parents and playgroup – Thank you. What to wear.In order to feel free to explore and experiment with all kinds of materials,
including messy ones, it is best to send children dressed in clothes, which are
easily washable or not too new. Prepare for School. After Easter we shall be running our ‘Preparation for school session’ on a Friday afternoon. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like your child to have a place on this session, these places are limited and tend to go quickly. This Term's Topics.
