Welcome to the Committee Newsletter.

Welcome to the last term of the year. The Pre-Schools are both busy preparing for Christmas, as I am sure you are!

Sally Beesley recently left the committee, as her children are now at school. We would like to thank Sally for all her hard work over the past 2 years. Welcome to Kathleen Lumby who has joined Hilltop as Assistant Supervisor. I hope she settles in well.

Preparation for Pre-School.

Hilltop have recently opened this session for 2-3 year olds. Children can attend on Wednesday afternoons 1-3pm for a fun filled session. Parents do not need to stay for the session and children do not have to be potty trained. For more information or to book a space please ring Sue on 842489.

Annual General Meeting & Parents Evening.

Thank you to everyone who attended. I am sure you will agree Fran Kirkwood gave an excellent talk on Pre-School Children and Learning. Thank you to Fran.

New Parent Representatives were elected and their photographs will be available in the lobbies so you are aware who you can approach with offers of help, concerns or ideas.

Welcome to New Committee members, Kath Houlden, Ruth Mitchell and Susie Channing Pearce. Members who were re-elected were Sally Melson, Julia Gregory and Julie Kirk. Minutes of the meeting will be available soon.

T-Shirts & Sweatshirts.

Christmas Celebrations.

Both Pre-Schools are busy preparing for their celebrations. For more information or to offer your help please speak to a member of staff.

Names.

To enable your child to come home with their own clothes, they need names in them. Please label everything. Thank you

Victorian Evening: Friday 16th December.

We will be braving the cold again - out side Boots. Please bring in donations of sweets and chocolates that we will sell on the night.

We look forward to seeing you on the evening .

Help.

The Pre-Schools try to keep maintenance cost to a minimum. This ensures we can spend as much as possible on toys and equipment for the children to enjoy.

If you have any skills you feel you can offer the group please let Rose or Carole know. We are currently looking for volunteers to paint the white cupboards at Hilltop. Paint if necessary would be supplied. Any offers would be gratefully received.

Illness.

Please remember if children are ill they should not be at Pre-School.

If they have a tummy bug they must have 48 hours free from Diarrhoea or Vomiting before they return. Thank you for your help in reducing the spread of illness.
