- Sally welcomed everyone to the meeting.

- These were signed and agreed.

3. Matters arising from last meeting. |
- Flyers have been designed and copied advertising
Hilltop Pre-School, dates are still to be set for house to house
distribution.
|
|
- The website has been updated, to ask enquirers
where they heard about Portishead Playgroups.
|
|
- We have received a few donations of paper from
Parents, so have a supply in stock now.
|
|
- Kitchen cupboards for Hilltop have kindly been
donated, they are awaiting positioning.
|
|
- Quiz Night - a great success, £240 raised, thank
you.
|
|
|
|
4. Chair's Report. |
- A new telephone enquiry form has been developed for use on
enquiry to enable auditing of where people have heard about us, this
ensures the group are doing the correct type/amount of advertising.
|
|
- A new policy has been written and was accepted by
the staff and committee present on 'Suitability of Staff to work on
any given day'. This addresses health issues that may cause concern.
|
|
- Brewster's have 'adopted' us as their local
charity. They have collection boxes on the bar for people to donate.
The committee will liaise with the manager about any further support
they can lend.
|
|
- Carnival - It was decided we will sell drinks,
sweets, toys and books on the stall. A lucky dip will also be
available. Note to go out to parents requesting donations in the
next newsletter.
|
|
- Fete this will take place on 20th May 12-3, due to
previous day clashing with other schools. Although our new date is
still the same as St Josephs fete, it was felt the two schools are
near enough for parents to visit each fete if they wished. Committee
to get together to discuss stalls and refreshments in further
detail. Rose has kindly offered her freezer to enable ice cream to
be sold.

- It was decided to trial 'Concept Photography' at
Hilltop, giving Brampton Parents along with Hilltops Parents the
option of having their children's photographs taken. Concept
photography take modern photographs in the pre-school setting.

|
5. Treasurer's Report.
|
- Julia was absent, however has not raised any issues.
|

6. Brampton Report.
|
- Nothing to report from Rose.
|

7. Brampton Parent Rep's Report.
|
|

8. Hilltop Report.
|
- Carole wished to know if an outing date had been set - Rose has
not yet addressed this so Rose and Carole to liaise at a later date.
|
|
- The open day in August was discussed, it was decided this will
take place on August 31st, with sessions in the morning and
afternoon, letters to go out at a later date.
|
|
- Carole and Sue also asked if we could add to the permission for
photographs slip, permission for the child's photograph to be used
for training purposes. This will be added for September intake.
