Portishead Playgroups - Background

Portishead Playgroups consists of two fantastic pre-schools situated in the town of Portishead, North Somerset. It has been providing excellent standards of pre-school education for over 40 years.

Since its foundation in 1964, Portishead Playgroups has operated from a number of locations before finally adopting the following premises:

Hilltop	Situated in a dedicated classroom within the grounds of St. Barnabas C of E Primary School on West Hill with capacity for 24 children per session.

Brampton Way	Situated on Brampton Way in new purpose built premises with capacity for 20 children per session.

Portishead Playgroups became a Registered Charity in 1988 and, having adopted the Pre-School Learning Alliance Constitution, is run by a Management Committee.

Portishead Playgroups is regulated by OFSTED.
